Azerbaijani student Kamilla Mamedzade successfully represented our country at the “Change the World Model United Nations” (CWMUN) international conference held in New York, USA, from March 20 to 23, 2025. The event saw the participation of around 3000 young people from over 100 countries. The conference aims to conduct United Nations (UN) simulation sessions and develop the knowledge and skills of youth in addressing global issues.
CWMUN is considered one of the largest youth forums in the world and is held annually in cities like New York, Paris, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Rome, and Singapore. Kamilla Mamedzade participated in this prestigious event and successfully demonstrated the active and entrepreneurial spirit of Azerbaijani youth on the international stage.
At the conference, Kamilla engaged in discussions on global issues such as peace and security, human rights, climate change, and sustainable development, standing out with her valuable ideas and proposals. In addition to the debates, participants also had the opportunity to explore New York’s cultural and historical landmarks, including Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the UN Headquarters.
Kamilla Mamedzade is also a multi-talented young singer and designer. She gained great success by presenting her first collection under her personal brand, Yes Couture, at the “Best Model of Azerbaijan” event and has received several prestigious awards. Kamilla is also known in the music field and has performed at several international events. Her achievements further prove that Azerbaijani youth can have a significant voice on the global stage, and that our young representatives can actively participate in international platforms.
